October 2011 Favorites :)

Hello lovelies!!!

I'm so excited to finally be back.  To be honest, ever since I moved back to Northern California, I haven't been motivated to make any videos nor blog.  The move was a huge adjustment and even now I haven't completely unpacked all of my makeup goodies and what not due to lack of space at home :(  However, I've been feeling motivated again lately since I've remembered how much I love makeup.

So today, we're going to talk about some of my all time favorite products that I've been using all of October as well as previous months.

Lip Products:
Revlon Colorburst Lipstick in Soft Nude
Revlon Super Lustrous Lip Gloss in Pastel Lilac
NYX Mega Shine Lip Gloss in Natural (122)
Lancome Juicy Tube in Frozen Punch

(L to R: Soft Nude, Pastel Lilac, Natural, Frozen Punch)

Revlon Colorburst Lipstick in Soft Nude is my all time favorite nude lipstick.  This is one of my holy grail items and I don't know what I would do without this lipstick.  It's the perfect shade of nude where it doesn't make you look too washed out and could be paired with essentially ANY lipgloss.  The formula is not drying at all and it doesn't make my lips peel.  What more do I need to say? TRY IT!!! :)

Revlon Super Lustrous Lip Gloss in Pastel Lilac is one of my favorite lip glosses for many reasons.  It looks amazing when paired with my Revlon Soft Nude and the formula is moisturizing.  I personally hate any lipgloss that feels sticky.  The scent is pleasantly subtle and have I mentioned that the color is gorgeous?!  This is probably one of my all time favorite lip glosses.  I have a back-up of a back-up of a back-up.  Have you tried out any of the lip glosses from this line?  Let me know what you think of them.

NYX Mega Shine Lip Gloss in 122 Natural is an amazing lip gloss as well.  I love the color of it paired with my soft nude lipstick or just worn alone.  This is not sticky at all and smells delightful! :)  It smells like one of my favorite candies from my childhood memories but I can't seem to put my finger on what it was exactly.  The scent of it just brings me straight down memory lane.  Have you guys tried this lip gloss out?  If so, what does it smell like to you?

Lancome Juicy Tube in Frozen Punch is a beautiful milky baby pink that looks great once again paired with my soft nude lipstick.  Have I mentioned that soft nude is my hg lipstick?  The formula of this is amazing because it's moisturizing and smells amazing like candy.  I'm usually really picky about the scent of my lipgloss.  If the gloss smells ghastly, I would not wear the gloss no matter how gorgeous the color is.  That alone is a deal breaker for me.

Eye Products:
Urban Decay Primer Potion in Eden
Revlon Precision Lash Adhesive
e.l.f. Liquid Liner
Wet n Wild H2O Proof Liquid Eyeliner

(L to R: UDPP in Sin, Revlon Lash Adhesive, e.l.f, Wet n Wild)

Urban Decay's Primer Potion in Sin is simply GORGEOUS!!!  This is one of my favorite colors from Urban Decay's Naked palette.  This primer performs the same way the original UDPP does, but with a gorgeous peachy champagne color.  Whenever I'm in a pinch for time, I would just wear this color alone with liner over it.  It just really brightens up the eyes and ensures that the liner doesn't budge.  If you love UDPP and the color Sin...give this primer a try and I guarantee that you will love it too.

Revlon Precision Lash Adhesive is amazing.  I love the packaging because instead of a squeeze tube like DUO lash glue...this one comes with a wand with a brush applicator, allowing for easy application to the lash band.  This formula is much more watery than any latex based lash glue and dries clear.  I used to use DUO lash glue but I think I'm allergic to the latex in it so I can't use it anymore.  However, I find that this glue performs much better in terms of wear.  After I apply my lashes, it doesn't budge all day.  One time, I used this glue to apply lashes for my sister and she fell asleep wearing the lashes...she woke up the next morning with her lashes still completely intact!  I believe that is the ultimate test right there...although I don't recommend sleeping with your makeup on.

e.l.f. liquid liner is a great liquid liner for just a buck.  I don't think there is much more that I need to say about this liner.  Only thing I don't like about this liner is the new packaging...I miss the felt tip wand :( I don't know how I feel about the new brush tip...but I'm still loving the formula.  This is my favorite non-waterproof liquid liner.

I have been in search of the perfect waterproof liquid liner for a while and I think I may have finally found one! :)  I have tried many waterproof liquid liners including Stila, Urban Decay, and Makeup Forever and all of those tend to get flaky by the end of the day.  Recently, I decided to try the Wet n Wild H2O Proof Liquid Eyeliner and WOW....I was amazed at the staying power of this liquid liner.  When they say that it's waterproof...they really mean it.  I've been wearing it all of October and I find that it doesn't flake at all.  My only complaint is that it takes forever to remove this eyeliner at night, but at the same time, that's what we're looking for in a waterproof liquid liner right?  One that stays put all day and doesn't budge at all.  If you are looking for an inexpensive waterproof liquid liner then definitely give this a try :)

This concludes my favorite beauty products from October.  I will talk to you lovelies again soon :)  Stay warm and dry!!!  Until next time...

The Naked Palette is L-O-V-E

Hello lovelies!

So most people in the beauty community probably already know about the hype and craze that Urban Decay's Naked Palette has brought about and I definitely understand why......the palette is simply GORGEOUS :)

The more I use my Naked palette, the more I fall in love with the colors put into this palette.  I just find that you could create so many versatile neutral looks with the colors that come in this palette.  The texture of the shadows are just so smooth and creamy and of course as all Urban Decay shadows are, extremely pigmented.  I've learned that just a little bit of these shadows will definitely go a long way.  I find that I do use certain colors wayyy more often than others and I believe I have found my absolute favorite highlight shade...Virgin <3 too bad it's a new shade that cannot be purchased as a single shadow yet.  At least from my knowledge, it is not available :(  I also love Sin because I find it to be the perfect champagne color.

This is probably one of my favorite looks that I've created using the Naked Palette so far

I know that the color looks extremely dark in this last photo, but I assure you that it is the lighting.

What I'm Wearing:
Foundation: Nars Sheer Glow in Barcelona
Powder: Palladio Rice Powder in Translucent
Cheeks: ELF Contouring Blush and Bronzer Duo
Eyeshadow: Naked Palette (Virgin as highlight on brow bone, Sin as an eyelid color, Naked on the outer corner, and Dark Horse in the outer V to darken up the look)
Eyeliner: Hourglass Calligraphy liquid liner pen
Mascara: Maybelline's The Falsies

Though this may be a bit too dramatic for some to wear during the daytime, I absolutely love it and this is definitely more my style so I've been rocking it during the day as well as night :)

Well, let me know what you think of this look since I just wanted to rave about this amazing product and share my favorite Naked Palette look with you darlings so until next time...

Drugstore FOTD and update

Hello lovelies!!! :)

I hope everyone had a safe and wonderful New Year.  I also would like to say a special thanks to  the followers of my blog since the very beginning...you guys are the best!!! :) My New Year resolution is to find a job back in San Diego so I can move back as soon as possible.  Leave me a comment and let me know what your New Year resolutions were for 2011 :)

Also, I just wanted to share with you a quick face of the day using only drugstore products.  Here are some pictures taken with my webcam so do note that the colors seem a bit more toned down here, however, in person, the colors are a bit more vibrant.

What I'm wearing:
Foundation: Maybelline Superstay 24Hour in Classic Biege
Cheeks: NYC Sunny Bronzer, ELF Blush in Tickled Pink ($3)
Lips: Revlon Colorburst (002) in Crystal Lilac
Eyeshadow Primer: ELF Mineral Eyeshadow Primer ($3)
Mascara: Covergirl Lashblast Fusion
FTC:  All products used were purchased with my own money.  I am in no way affiliated with ELF, nor am I getting compensated in any way.  I just simply love bargain cosmetics that are of good quality. :)

It's been a while since my last update.  The past couple weeks of break has been so good to me and I was able to spend lots of time with my loved ones doing very fun things.  We even managed to go the the happiest place on Earth :) Yay Disneyland!!!  My sister came down to visit for a week and we managed to squeeze in karaoke, rock climbing, Disneyland, and lots of yummy food :)  Unfortunately, I forgot to take more pictures than I ended up taking, but I'm going to be sharing some with you here.

My sister and I on the shuttle into Disneyland.  I know, we don't look alike at all.

We made it in after a long wait for the shuttle, which was the beginning of a long day of waiting in extremely long lines

The huge decorated tree that greeted us once we entered

It's a Small World at Night in its full glory :) it was gorgeous all lit up

My sister with the beautiful castle all lit up :)

Overall, I would say our Disneyland trip was a success even though it was super packed.  I believe the news said that there were 85,000 people there at the 2 parks the day we went so it was almost impossible to get around.  Due to the long lines, we were only able to go on about 5 rides, but I'm still glad we went :)

Ok, that's all for today
